Our Story
CAFE ELEKTRIC opened in Spring 2018, after the spaces of the old theatre club underwent the much needed renovation.
The restaurant carries the name of a film which was produced by Alexander "Sasha" Kolowrat-Krakowsky in the 1920's. "Sasha" was the great uncle of Francesca Kolowrat, who is the creator and co-owner of the restaurant.
She wanted to dedicate the place to her great uncle as an homage to him and his work. Because "Sasha" was also a car racer, the details in the interior were inspired by his passion.
We can see a sgrafit of him in his racing car on the walls, as well as his lucky card symbols scattered around the restaurant in specific features-such as the neon lighting, coat hangers, lights or the seats which resemble those of a racing car.
CAFE ELEKTRIC therefore carries the atmosphere of the 1920's with a modern twist in terms of the menu, bar and people.
Location
The restaurant is located in the heart of Prague in the Kolowrat Palace at Ovocny trh 6, Prague 1. Our guests can dine, drink and party in the areas of our restaurant/bar in the basement of the Kolowrat palace or enjoy the fresh air and sun from the calm of out private garden.
We are also equipped with a presentation area, good sound system and customizable lighting system, which enables the place to be used for presentations, meetings, parties, events and many more.
Our Food
We offer a modern international cuisine which is suitable to all dietary preferances (be it meat, pescaterian, vegetarian or vegan). We focus on cooking our food using only the freshest and real ingredients with the focus on vegetables and proteins, so that our visitors can return for food everyday and leave feeling satisfied and energized (without the heavy restaurant feeling!).
From Monday till Friday we offer a daily lunch menu where you can enjoy a soup and a choice from three main dishes (one option is always vegetarian/vegan) as well as daily dessert! Besides our lunch menu you can also enjoy our all day menu that includes a selection of appetizers tapas, warm meals, burgers, bowls or all day breakfasts which include the customers favorite- Vegan Matcha pancakes!
During the weekend, dont forget to join us for brunch from 9am-4pm. We offer a selection of savory and sweet meals which will satisfy all your cravings! For picky eaters we offer the option of creating your own meal from the ingredients available! <3
